If you are Irish citizen aged 18-30 and residing in Ireland you may apply for a 180 day Taiwan Working Holiday Visa. The Taiwan Working Holiday Visa could be extended once for a further 180 days if the application is made no less than 15 days before expiry of the initial visa. The extension is granted at the National Immigration Agency service centre in your city or county of residence in Taiwan.

You have to meet the following criteria to apply for the visa:

  • You must be 18-30 years of age.
  • You should have no criminal record.
  • You should not have participated in this Taiwan Working Holiday Program before.
  • You must not have dependents staying with you in Taiwan unless they also have a working holiday visa.

VisaFirst will provide you with the list of the required documents, check if your application form is completed correctly and also check if the documents provided by you are all in order.

If all requirements are met, the visa should be ready in 5 working days.

Your passport will be retained during the process so you are strongly advised not to make your application less than 6 working days before using your passport.
