Are my spouse/dependents eligible for an Irish Work Permit?

 
To be eligible for a work permit in Ireland, the spouse or dependant must be legally resident in Ireland on the basis of being a dependant of an Irish employment permit holder who must have had one of the following for at least 12 months:
  • A valid Ireland Green Card Permit; or
  • A valid permit of 12 months or more duration; or
  • A valid Ireland Working Visa issued before the 31st December, 2006; or
  • A valid Work Authorisation issued before the 31st December, 2006; or
  • A valid Ireland Intra-Company Transfer Permit of 12 months or more duration; and

The work permit holder must still be working within the terms of their employment permit.

To apply for a spouse work permit, you need a job offer from an employer registered and trading in Ireland.
