Critical Skills Employment Permit
(Ireland Green Card)

A Green Card Permit for Ireland is an employment permit which allows skilled individuals to work in Ireland for a specified employer in an occupation where skills shortages exist. Over 1000 Irish employers use Visa First to successfully organise visas for their staff every year.

The Green Card Ireland is issued for an initial period of two years, after which it can normally be renewed indefinitely.

To be eligible for an Irish Green Card you need a job offer from a bona-fide company registered for trade in Ireland. The job offer must be either for a position with a salary of more than €60,000 or for a for a restricted number of strategically important occupations with remuneration of between €30,000 and €59,999. At least 50 % of the employees have to be EEA nationals in order for your employer to be eligible, unless if the company is a start-up.

An Ireland Green Card application can be made by either the employee or the employer and this visa category does not require labour markets needs testing.
