Working Holiday Visa (WHV) is intended to promote close cooperative relations between Argentina and Ireland. The aim of the Programme is to holiday in the Argentine Republic with employment being an incidental rather than the primary reason for the visit.




The Argentina Working Holiday Visa allows you to stay in Argentina for up to 9 months (the visa is initially valid for 6 months, but it can be extended with up to 3 months once you are in Argentina) and work in the country for up to 3 months. The Argentina Working Holiday visa also gives the right to register in training or study courses for up to 3 months. 




Applicants wishing to participate in the Argentina Working Holiday Program need to meet the following requirements:

  • The applicant must be an Irish citizen who is resident in Ireland.
  • To be aged between 18-30 years, both inclusive, at the time of the visa application.
  • Not to be accompanied by dependent children.
  • Have no criminal record.
  • Have not previously participated in the program.
