Canadian Provincial Nominee Programme
The Canadian Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP) is a permanent residency visa that is available to skilled and semi-skilled workers who will be able to meet the specific needs of the relevant province or territory in Canada. Each of the provincial governments have the right to select Immigrants who would be most likely to settle effectively into the economic and social life of the region. Although each region can select the applicants, Citizenship and Immigration Canada retains the authority to make the final decision on an application for permanent residence based on the general admissibility criteria, including security, criminal, and medical checks for candidates who hold Provincial Nominee Certificates.
